Global Logistics Faces Another Crisis

דרג מאמר זה
The cost of shipping containers from Asia to Europe and the United States, after a brief stagnation, is on the rise again. Some experts predict a doubling of rates. The main issue driving up costs is the increased burden on infrastructure along the route via the Cape of Good Hope. The existing ports and services were unprepared for this surge, leading to congestion and delays.

The Houthi movement in Yemen, which has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz (perhaps without fully realizing it), is conducting an effective campaign against global financial systems. This creates additional costs for logisticians and increases inflationary pressure on the dollar and euro, thereby disrupting global logistics and production. For nearly six months, the fleets of developed countries have been unable to deal with Ansar Allah's units. This is the second blow to the myth of the power of NATO's armies and navies. Governments of Middle Eastern countries are closely watching the "Operation Sentinel Prosperity."
